Those are just the songs I recommend and like!
Here are lyrics!
BED OF LIES:
o I would not sleep in this bed of lies
So toss me out and turn in
And there’ll be no rest for these tired eyes
I’m marking it down to learning
I am
Don’t think that I can take another empty moment
Don’t think that I can fake another hollow smile
It’s not enough just to be sorry
Don’t think that I could take another talk about it
Just like me you got needs
And they’re only a whisper away
And we softly surrender
To these lives that we’ve tendered away
No I would not sleep in this bed of lies
So toss me out and turn in
And there’ll be no rest for these tired eyes
I’m marking it down to learning
I am
Don’t wanna be the one who turns the whole thing over
Don’t wanna be somewhere where I just don’t belong
Where it’s not enough just be sorry
Don’t you know I feel the darkness closing in
Tried to be more than me
And I gave till it all went away
And we’ve only surrendered
To the worst part of these winters we’ve made
No I would not sleep in this bed of lies
So toss me out and turn in
And there’ll be no rest for these tired eyes
I’m marking it down to learning
I am
I am all that I’ll ever be
When you – lay your hands
Over me but don’t go weak on me now
I know that it’s weak
But God help me I need this
I will not sleep in this bed of lies
So toss me out and turn in
And there’ll be no rest for these tired eyes
I’m marking it down to learning
I’m marking it down to learning
‘Cause I am
LAST BEAUTIFUL GIRL:
This will all fall down like everything else that was
This too shall pass and all of the words we said
We can’t take back
Now every fool in town would’ve left by now
I can’t replace all the wasted days
The memory of your face – can’t help thinkin’
Maybe if we ever coulda kept it all together
Where would we be
A thousand lost forevers
And the promises you never were giving me
Here’s what I’m thinking
It won’t be the first – heart that you break
It won’t be the last – beautiful girl
The one that you wrecked – won’t take you back
If you were the last beautiful girl in the world
Tell me one more time
How you’re sorry about the way
This all went down – you needed to find your space
You needed to still be friends
Needed me to
Call you if I ever couldn’t keep it all together you’d comfort me
Tell me but forever
And the promises I never should have believed in
Here’s what I’m thinking
It won’t be the first – heart that you break
It won’t be the last – beautiful girl
The one that you wrecked – won’t take you back
If you were the last beautiful girl in the world
It’s over now – and I’ve gone without
Cuz you’re everybody else’s girl
It seems to me – you’ll always be
Everyone else’s girl
Everyone else’s girl
This will all fall down
Like everything in the world
This too must end
And all the words we said
We can’t take back
It won’t be the first – heart that you break
It won’t be the last – beautiful girl
The one that you wrecked – won’t take you back
If you were the last…
It won’t be the first – heart that you break
It won’t be the last – beautiful girl
The one that you wrecked – won’t take you back
If you were the last beautiful girl in the world
The last beautiful girl in the world
You are the last beautiful girl in the world
Beautiful girl
UNWELL:
All day staring at the ceiling
Making friends with shadows on my wall
All night hearing voices telling me
That I should get some sleep
Because tomorrow might be good for something
Hold on
Feeling like I’m headed for a breakdown
And I don’t know why
But I’m not crazy, I’m just a little unwell
I know right now you can’t tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you’ll see
A different side of me
I’m not crazy, I’m just a little impaired
I know right now you don’t care
But soon enough you’re gonna think of me
And how I used to be, me
I’m talking to myself in public
Dodging glances on the train
And I know, I know they’ve all been talking about me
I can hear them whisper
And it makes me think there must be something wrong with me
Out of all the hours thinking
Somehow I’ve lost my mind
But I’m not crazy, I’m just a little unwell
I know right now you can’t tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you’ll see
A different side of me
I’m not crazy, I’m just a little impaired
I know right now you don’t care
But soon enough you’re gonna think of me
And how I used to be
I’ve been talking in my sleep
Pretty soon they’ll come to get me
Yeah, they’re taking me away
But I’m not crazy, I’m just a little unwell
I know right now you can’t tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you’ll see
A different side of me
I’m not crazy, I’m just a little impaired
I know right now you don’t care
But soon enough you’re gonna think of me
And how I used to be
Hey, how I used to be
How I used to be
Well, I’m just a little unwell
How I used to be
How I used to be
I’m just a little unwell
STOP:
Yes it’s true that I believe
I’m weaker than I used to be
I wear my heart out on my sleeve
And I forget the rest of me
Yes there’s times I’ve been afraid
And there’s no harm in that I pray
Cuz I’m more frightened everyday
Someone will take the hope I have away
But you gotta give it up
To get off sometimes
You gotta give it up
To get off sometimes
You gotta give it up
To get off sometimes I know
But you gotta give it up
To get off sometimes
You gotta give it up
To get off sometimes
You gotta give it up
To get off sometimes I know
All the times I’ve given in
You fit me like a second skin
And one by one I will begin
To wear you on the days I’m feeling thin
But you gotta give it up
To get off sometimes
You gotta give it up
To get off sometimes
You gotta give it up
To get off sometimes I know
But you gotta give it up
To get off sometimes
You gotta give it up
To get off sometimes
You gotta give it up
To get off sometimes I know
You’d better stop, stop, stop
Using me up
You’d better stop
Cuz I’ve had enough
And I’m ready to forget the reasons
That keep me here
You’d better stop, stop, stop
Using me up
You’d better stop
Cuz I’ve had enough
And I’m ready to forget the reasons
That keep me here
Matchbox Twenty is an American rock band, formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1995. The group currently consists of Rob Thomas, Brian Yale, Paul Doucette, and Kyle Cook.
Matchbox Twenty — Originally titled “Matchbox 20,” the band took its name from a softball jersey with a “20” on it and a patch that had “Matchbox” written on it. The band altered its name to “Matchbox Twenty” after the release of its debut album Yourself or Someone Like You.
It’s been 20 years since Matchbox Twenty first came together to release their debut album Yourself or Someone Like You back in 1996, and although they haven’t stayed together that whole span of time, frontman Rob Thomas is looking to celebrate the milestone.
For centuries, 3 am has been known as “The Witching Hour,” “The Devil’s Hour” or “Midnight of the Soul” — brief window between midnight and sunrise, during which time, it’s often claimed, the veil between our world and the domain of the supernatural is pulled aside.
